The big question in this work was in blending four classical materials into a harmonic whole. Brass, wood, mirror and leather were used. Originally the work was made as a door knob, which is a traditional course work at the architectural department at the university. I wanted this utility to resemble an art object. The rear part made of ash tree feels softly shaped and pleasing to touch and the mirror brings the beautiful wooden surface to sight. Leather is a soft and warm natural material and by changing its color the mood changes as well. Brass is antibacterial and human touch patinates it over time, giving it more character. The structure is planned in a way that the leather part can be swapped.
